MrSmith píše:Podla mna nebola len chyba v kampani.
Neberte ma zle som len som pocitoval sklamanie a trochu som to az s kritikou prehnal. Teraz pomaly uz aj dostavam chut si to znovu pozriet

I went into the theatre not expecting much. The actors had been out of their roles for a long time and the script had to be written so that anyone could watch the film and make sense of it. There was only so much Mr. Carter could bring in from miscellaneous events throughout the series. Add that all together combined with what the critics have been saying and it gives a negative connotation to the film.
That said, if you went into the theatre expecting to see something that would topple Dark Knight, you were destined to be disappointed. Throughout nine seasons of the series, there were maybe a handful of "OMG! That was the greatest thing EVER!" episodes, so the idea that we should expect Mr. Carter to come out with something like that years after the series had ended is laughable. In order to really enjoy the film, you had to go into it with an open mind. (take whatever puns from that that you want. )
I pride myself on being a long-time X-Phile, but unlike six years ago, I am now an adult and can look at the quality of film beyond whether or not it scared me or if it was funny.
The acting was exactly what it should have been. Mulder was deadpan and subtle and Scully was the little firecracker she always has been. Aside from the elements that dictated a time frame for it, you could have plopped that film somewhere between Season 6 and 7 and you would never have been able to tell the difference.
On the romance piece, it simply felt right. It was what the scrutinizing fan had been expecting for years and it was just subtle enough, NOT be have been shoved down our throats. The scenes with them in bed together were adorable and did not come out of the blue. Since the film picks up after the finale in Season 9, it shows them precisely how one would expect them to be. In love with one another, together with one another, but not staring into each other's eyes over candlelit dinners. Showing obvious attempts at romance would have been shoving it down our throats, but instead the characters are just together while still maintaining the element of tension and intrigue that made the show what it was.
Sorry to be so on the defensive and ramble for far too long, but that film was everything it was supposed to be. There was no way it was going to be Academy Award quality after six years away from the characters, but...it was made for the fans and it delivers what it should; a film about Mulder and Scully and their never-ending quest for the truth.
